Executive Director Announcement
Good morning OTA members,
It is with sadness in my heart that I will be retiring from the Executive Directorship this July 1st. I had the great honor and opportunity to be one of the 4 original founders of OTA 27 years ago, so as you can well imagine it is with great melancholy for me to walk away from this wonderful relationship I have so enjoyed. However, I must confess I'm doing cartwheels at the prospect of travel and true retirement!
As an organization we have grown steadily and mightily through these 27 years. We have absorbed 2 other organizations and now proudly oversee and present the largest general educator's conference in our state, the OTA Encyclo-media conference. We are ever marching forward and seeking ways to better serve you. To that end, I have wonderful news to report to you this morning, our Executive Board has selected our new Executive Director. At our February meeting our current president, Donna Campo was selected.
Ms. Campo currently serves as the Superintendent of the Catoosa Public School District. Prior to that she served for 10 years as the Superintendent of Liberty and Shidler Schools. Ms. Campo has a visionary spirit and she is enthusiastically ready to embrace the continuing advancement of our great organization. She highly desires to seek out new and exciting professional development opportunities for our members.
Our mission is strong and true. Our vision is focused on serving you, our members. OTA is and always has been a member driven organization. Your support, your input, and your service to our greater mission is what has grown us to our current strong status. Please welcome Ms. Campo as you have welcomed me and continue to work within our organization to further advance our mission.
